WoodGuard

Dampness typically results in the growth of mold or mildew on wood surfaces. Mold usually appears as black or greenish-brown patches on surfaces in humid environments.

  • Product Details

Mildew is a common term used to describe both mold fungi and their discolouration to unfinished wood. Besides causing an unsightly appearance, spores from mold fungi can cause allergies and other health hazards.

Why Use Woodguard:-

Concerns & various detrimental effects caused by wood rotting and fungal growth are:

1. Moisture absorption, creation and transfer onto components causing corrosion
2. Weakening of structures 3. Bad odour and smells created due to the aerobic & anaerobic molds and fungi 4. Poor aesthetics. 5. Skin Infections to the workers handling the wood. 6. Breathing problems & lung infections. 7. Mouth Infections.

Application:-

Woodguard is solvent based biocide & fungicide which also eradicates rodents in wood. This is very safe compared to the azoles, nitrites, cresoles or any other harmful chemicals and is also used in food grain preservation at different ppm levels and for human dermatological infections.

This can be applied by brush, dipping, or spraying on the surface of the wood and dries off within 4-5 minutes under normal conditions. The chemical does not discolour or stain the wood. However, it protects the wood from rotting, molds, fungal growths etc. For up to 2 years from application.

In case the humidity increases or the wood become wets the efficacy of WoodGuard further increases and the chemical being water soluble travels to the inside of the wood and protects the complete volume and not just the surface
